Amazon Linux 2 버전..

$ amazon-linux-extras install docker

또는

$ yum install docker

$ sudo yum install -y docker && sudo usermod -a -G docker $USER && sudo systemctl start docker && sudo systemctl enable docker

$ cat /etc/*-release | uniq

CentOS Linux release 8.0.1905 (Core)

메뉴얼 설치(download the RPM package and install it manually)가 있고 레포지토리를 통한 설치(Install using the repository)가 있는데, 레포지토리를 권장한다고 한다.

$ sudo yum install -y yum-utils \
  device-mapper-persistent-data \
  lvm2

$ sudo yum-config-manager \
      --add-repo \
      https://download.docker.com/linux/centos/docker-ce.repo

$ sudo yum install docker-ce docker-ce-cli containerd.io

실행

$ sudo systemctl start docker
$ sudo systemctl enable docker
$ docker ps -a
Got permission denied -while trying to connect to the Docker daemon socket at unix:///var/run/docker.sock: Get http://%2Fvar%2Frun%2Fdocker.sock/v1.40/containers/json?all=1: dial unix /var/run/docker.sock: connect: permission denied

$ cat /etc/passwd
...
herdin86:x:1000:1001::/home/herdin86:/bin/bash
...

$ cat /etc/group
...
herdin86:x:1001:
docker:x:991:
...

$ sudo usermod -a -G docker $USER
$ sudo systemctl restart docker
$ exit

$ docker version

  Hello from Docker!
  This message shows that your installation appears to be working correctly.

  To generate this message, Docker took the following steps:
   1. The Docker client contacted the Docker daemon.
   2. The Docker daemon pulled the "hello-world" image from the Docker Hub.
      (amd64)
   3. The Docker daemon created a new container from that image which runs the
      executable that produces the output you are currently reading.
   4. The Docker daemon streamed that output to the Docker client, which sent it
      to your terminal.

  To try something more ambitious, you can run an Ubuntu container with:
   $ docker run -it ubuntu bash
